Dr. Carl Hanson, associate professor in the Health Science department was recently granted tenure (also known at BYU as continuing faculty status or CFS). Receiving tenure is a major milestone in every professor’s life. To receive tenure at BYU requires six years of intensive research, teaching, and citizenship. Faculty are evaluated on the quality of their teaching, the number and quality of research they publish, and the level of services given to the department, college, university, and the profession.

Dr. Brad Neiger, Health Science Department Chair, said of Dr. Hanson, “Carl is always behind the scenes doing the little and big things that serve students and help move the department forward. Much of what he does goes unnoticed.”

Congratulations Dr. Hanson
