by Ashley Kearl, BPHA Communications and Technology OfficerPicture1

Wednesday September 23 2009.

BPHA held our first club meeting in room 271 RB from 6:30-8 pm. The night started by introducing the 2009-2010 BPHA presidency. The students that attended broke into groups and discussed ideas for future events.  They connected with each other while sharing insights and ideas.

Chad Swanson presented an introduction to Global Health. He explained the importance of involvement, and examples of current issues in Global health. Dr. Swanson shared some of his experiences and stories, and gave his ideas and opinions about students getting involved. “Think globally, act locally” was his ending note.

Ralph Brown, PhD and Joan Dixon presented together representing the Kennedy Center. They gave detailed information about the International Development Minor. More information concerning the minor can be found at http://kennedy.byu.edu/. If you have more questions call (801) 422-3548, or email at kennedy_advisement@byu.edu
