8:00 AM – 9:00 AM Breakfast & Registration
Traditional hot breakfast will be served.

9:00 AM – 10:15 AM Health Care Reform
Bill Barnes, who manages federal government relations for Intermountain Healthcare, will address the current health care reform bill. He will cover what it includes and what it means for the profession of health education. If you have been confused about what is going on, this should help clear up your questions.

10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Professional Session – Keeping Your Job During Tough Economic Times
This is the professional session geared to those who may be concerned about the future of health education. Beverly Hyatt, Health Promotion Bureau Director for Salt Lake Valley Health Dept, will discuss ways you can make yourself indispensable in today’s workforce.

10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Student Session – Finding a Job or Internship
This student session is for those looking for a job or internship. Learn the value of an internship, how to find one, and how to make the most of it. Sue Stephenson, career employment counselor at UVU, will also discuss ways to improve your job search and make yourself stand out from the crowd.
