SelectHealth Health Promotion Internship
SelectHealth offers internships that provide a variety of experience in different aspects of health promotion and education. Interns will participate in our employer health fairs. This will involve conducting biometric screenings including body fat analysis, blood pressure, and cholesterol/glucose testing. In addition to the screenings you will also have the chance to teach participants about their results and ways to improve their health. Training will be provided.
Other aspects of this internship include working with a team of health educators and nurses to plan and implement programs. You may have the chance to assist in implementing programs or other projects as well as a chance to write articles for newsletters.
The internship hours are flexible to meet your schedule. We have health fair events Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays. The hours range from 7:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. with some exceptions depending on the event.
