Community Health Connect (CHC) is a non-profit organization that works with low-income, uninsured individuals in Utah County and connects them with discounted or donated specialty medical and dental care. We are looking for an intern for our yearly dental varnishing campaign in local title I elementary schools.
Duties include partnering with other agencies to organize varnishings in 20 Title I elementary schools throughout Utah County, and may also include:
- Improving client services
- Planning events
- Helping with the quarterly newsletter
- Care coordination
- Fundraising
- Grant writing
- Other duties as needed.
Community Health Connect is looking for someone ASAP in January but absolutely must have someone in office for the month of March. A flexible schedule is REQUIRED since the varnishings vary and are held many different days of the school week in the morning and/or afternoon.
Qualifications:
- Must have a flexible schedule
- Must be organized and good at problem-solving
- Must be dependable
- Interest in non-profit sector a plus
- Must be passionate about eradicating health inequalities
- Spanish language skills strongly preferred
Internship is un-paid but mileage reimbursement will be available. This is a great way to get your foot in the door with a local non-profit doing great stuff! We always give first priority to prior volunteers and interns when hiring for paid positions.
